Which Car Would You Get From This List?
all cars are used. if you had to pick one of these which would you pick and why, realistically if you were going to. take into consideration gas, maintainence, etc.
1. e92 M3 DCT: tint, rims & tires, vors trunk, vors diffuser, exhaust, v1 hardwire, oem floor & trunk mat, aluminum e-brake, trim, aluminum pedals. Gas: Decent Mods: Short list, cheap, and looks great. Maintainence: Easy 2. SL65 AMG: tint, rims & tires, exhaust, v1 hardwire, oem floor & trunk mat, aluminum pedals, aluminum e-brake, c/f trim. Gas: Horrible Mods: Short mod list, great performance Maintainence: Hard 3. M5 SMG: tint, rims & tires, exhaust, v1 hardwire, oem floor & trunk mat, aluminum e-brake & pedals, c/f trim. Gas: Decent (P400/P500) Mods: short list, great performance, looks great. Maintainence: Easy 4. M6 SMG: tint, rims & tires, exhaust, v1 hardwire, oem floor & trunk mat, aluminum e-brake & pedals, c/f trim. Gas: Decent (P400/P500) Mods: short list, great performance, looks great. Maintainence: Easy 5. 996 Turbo tint, rims & tires, exhaust, v1 hardwire, oem floor & trunk mat, c/f trim, aluminum e-brake & pedals, techart replica body kit. Gas: Decent Mods: short list but body kit would be a killer. great looking car and performance. Maintainence: ??? 6. M3 CSL Conversion full csl conversion including other basic goodies like v1 hardwire, tint, etc. Gas: Decent Mods: long & extensive list, one of a kind. Maintainence: 100% warranty void 6. Other (AMG, BMW, Porsche, Vette, Etc Please Specify)

ZO6 .. You can pick up a very lightly used 08 or 09 in 50's, low 60's right now. For that price you cant touch its performance or looks. And with a set of HRE'S it looks plain EVIL.

I would take the Porsche. Honestly though, you should narrow the list down and have people pick from it. By listing "others" as an option, the list is going to get very long because there are a boat load of cars that you can get.

man that is really, really tough...
at my age, i'm taking the sportiest car available though. 996 turbo for me. Maintenance will probably be terrible, but i'm willing to deal with it for that car. It's not so much that it's a Porsche that I want it. It's that I love turbo cars in general and that has to be one of the grand daddies of all turbo cars (although the GT-R is the new king imo). I love 911's in general for their 'wolf in sheep's clothing' look. If the M3 were less aggressive looking, I'd have an even harder time passing on it though. but then again, if i had all that money, i'd buy an STI and turn it into my track car gas: pretty terrible mods : LONG LONG list maintenance : um... depends on how you mod lol cop attention : huge what others will think of you : ricer what others might also think : boy racer |

I don't know if I'd consider the maintenance on either the M5 or M6 "easy".
Are you planning to do everything yourself?

With today's economy, I've seen 996 GT2s in the range of an e92 M3's MSRP. So, I would pick that

There are a couple on eBay Motors for $73K, $77K, $79K, and $83K with most of them modded heavily. Those are still kinda high compared to what I've seen before tho.

I respectfully disagree. The M5 is much better with the SMGIII than 6MT.
