I don't see what BMW is trying to do with this car. They won't keep it low content and low-priced. The Z4 already weighs a couple hundred pounds less than the 1-series, and I can't see BMW producing a $25k, 2700lb roadster (as much as I would love one).

The baseline Z2 will be competitively priced around 25k to compete with the MX-5. It will have a 140hp in-line 4. I would opt for 240+hp turbo 4 though.
