T-Mobile sucks
I ported two numbers from T-Mobile to AT&T a couple weeks ago. Today, I got a bill from T-Mobile charging me $200 per line for early termination. I have been with T-Mobile since '05 and I'm way past the initial two year contract period. I have not gotten any upgraded phones since then, because I buy unlocked phone from Asia or mobilebee.com. The C/S was less than helpful in finding out what happened...... She told me that I supposedly "upgraded" my phone on 2/09/07 and signed a two year contract with them. I'm going to the store that I've used since I moved to Boston and find out what kind of "upgrades" I've got......q

yeah t-mobile is hanging on by a thread because of ATT and VZW.... I just got went over minutes and was charged $250, I called to see if they could change the plan and backdate it for me so I woudltn have to pay since I've been a loyal customer for years... They said if I wanted to do that, I have to accept another 1 year contract... Yeah fuck that, I'll pay the damn $250 and im done with t-mobile as soon as the bb bold comes out for Verizon.. BTW the customer service lady was tits up trying to get me to change the plan and when I said I didnt want to extend the contract, she asked why, I straight up told her, I'm fed up with T-mobiles customer service and phone signal in the city. HA I swear, she sounded like a priest that just found out that God wasn't real... (No pun intended, I am a believer!)

The only I change I made was to get unlimited text for my "Family" plan. Instead, they gave me 400 text for my main line........ Stupid asses.

I used T-Mobile for a bit while in the States and for about 1/4 of my calls, I could hear the other end but they could not hear me. Sometimes, I would need to redial a number of times to get a good connection.

If anyone has a decent way to get out of a T-Mobile contract, I would appreciate the help. I've been with them for a year and want out because the service sucks pretty much everywhere. I initially signed up because Verizon's PDA's were weak. I picked up the HTC P3300 and love the phone. Unfortunately, i'm stuck with T-Mobile. I'd like to switch to Verizon and pick up the Samsung Omnia but don't want to pay an insane cancellation fee.

I feel your pain Kev. My carrier is T-mobile and the sad thing is I dont even have reception in or within a half a mile radius of my house. So I guess if someone were to break in or if I had some type of real emergency I'd be SOL. When I actually do have reception theres seriously a 35% chance of my call being randomly dropped or a busy tone would cut in halfway through a conversation. T-mobile is complete bullshit, and the phones they offer are crap too

I know a few months ago, T-Mo increased their messaging charges (from 0.10 to 0.20?) and sent out a letter to let customers know about it. It was an opening to not accept the change and cancel your policy early with no cancellation fee. A lot of people got out. I had just gotten my new phone so I didn't want to go buy another. Wishing I would have taken advantage when the opportunity was there.

you can cancel tmobile if the area you live in does not have cell reception.
you need proof of residence. i scanned a utility bill...changed the address to a small town in vermont...and brought that into a store. simple. phone plan cancelled and no etf. |
