I'd rather have one of those than a GTI, MazdaSpeed3, STi, Evo X, and maybe even a 135i.

WTF is ford thinkn??? Ford is an American brand not import so why the hell does it look like one? Looks to much like a Mazda/Mitsubishi... Dont like it, but it does sound aggressive..

because ford has a totally different european sector which is highly regarded there and which actually makes money for them, the focus is one of the cars that was designed for europe and then brought here- and look how successful it has been. I personally think it looks pretty cool.

The same kinda of people that would by a factory riced out EVO X. My opinion of course. At any rate, Its nice to see the RS competing with some real competion and I think Ford of Europe is doing a great job with it. IM just not a fan of looks, same with the EVO.

$50k is a lot of money for that car. there is something very appealing about it, though. the exterior and interior are very nice imo. the performance seems to be good, and that crazy front suspension set-up might be enough to make me overlook the fact that its fwd. my verdict is that its a good car, at the wrong time, with the wrong price.

the fear all the american automakers have is that americans will not want what the american makers sell in europe, the focus totally trumped that and it would be amazing if they'd bring the full euro one here but they probably wont. it makes no sense to me, granted we get limited options here for german cars, it's not like they change the design for us and people still buy them. I think ford and gm bringing their european lines here with more efficient clean diesels and small turbo gas engines could be a critical point in saving those companies but if they do it they're bound to do it too late and too slow. Stock up on your Mopar stuff, Chrysler's just flat out done imho.

I have been wishing Frod sold their Focus RS in the States for years now. It's one Ford I would actually consider purchasing, even with it's whole over-the-top styling.
