2011 Jaguar XJ at the Nurburgring
http://www.motorauthority.com/spy-sh...-the-ring.html
I think this will look much better than the S-Class and 7-series. I think the current XF is the pick of the bunch when compared with the E-Class and 5-series. |

XF is already a better car than the E-class/5 series and the XJ is lighter and stiffier again so it will destroy the S-class/7 series with ease. And if the actual car ends up looking anything like the photoshops then it will also be the pick of the bunch with regards to looks and image.
Jaguar is on a roll. |

I'm personally not a fan of the XF at all. Don't like how it looks. Don't like the interior (the layout is bland, the gimmicks don't win me over, the fit and finish is subpar, and the material choice isn't up to standards either). But I will say that it rides comfortably.

While I love the idea of different colored front and rear rims, I'm just not sure their choices here represent the brand very well. How about British Racing Green and Neon Orange?

I have driven both the XF 3.0d S and the XFR plus I have driven both the 535d and M5 and in my humble opinion the Jaguar is a much sweeter driving car, it's driving character suits this executive sector much better than the 5 series and both engines feel stronger low down where car's in this sector need it to be.
The new E-class is something I haven't driven so my comments are purely down to reading other people's opinions and so far the comments are divided with some liking it and other not. Bimmer Loyalist didn't appear to like any of the XF which means to me he's too young for a Jag, hack I reckon I may be too and I'm over forty. I can't agree that the design is ugly or that the interior is bland and the gizmos are just gimmicks, I happen to think that it's the best looking car in it's class and by a country mile, the interior is beautifully understated yet luxurious and those gimmicks really are a great idea, especially the gear selector. I also don't agree that it's materials are sub-standard, it may not be as good as Audi who's leather I think is ahead of all the others but it's definitely right up there with what Mercedes and BMW offer. I will say this, try the XFR and see if you still feel the XF isn't the best car in the sector. |

Haha, it looks like Jaguar doesn't have enough money to buy matching rims

The fact is, i would rather have:
-An XF rather than the 5 Series -An XK rather than the 6 Series -This XJ rather than the 7 Series (It will most certainly look and sound better) Yes, i love the impoverished underdog.

Out of all the front runners (RS6, M5, E63 and XFR) the one I would place last in that line up would be the M5 followed by the E63, the RS6 and first would be the Jag.
It's easily the niciest driving car is this class. |
