I tell her, "go for it, just be really careful on dips and coming out of driveways." Suddenly her desire to drive it is gone.

Its kind of funny though because I love it when my gf drives my M3...

You and your mate share some stuff.
But some stuff is yours and other stuff is hers.

If you are a fanatic about your car, don't share it. Why stress your relationship? Save the stress for the big issues in life, like house, family, kid, relationship and health. If you are loose about your car, share it.
