Terminator Salvation
That movie was LEGIT!!! Some of the acting seemed a little spotty at times, but it was still bad ass!
The scene at the end of the movie, where all the humans are being herded like cattle, was shot in THIS train station in downtown ABQ. It was awesome watching the movie and being able to recognize all the different locations they shot at. |

After reading through those reviews, I actually have to agree with some of them. The movie was rather impersonal in regards to the characters. None of them ever really get fleshed out enough to connect with. This is especially appearant with John Conner (Christian Bale). While in past terminator films he was portrayed as "human", which in turn makes him vulnerable, in Salvation he is portrayed as more of a cold, disconnected soldier rather than the driving emotional "hero". The "hero", and seemigly the main character, was actually Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), though he is still kept to distant to really give weight to films finale. Conversely, even though the viewer never really gets invested in the livelihood of the charachters, the distance kinda helps to lend to feeling bleekness which the movie aims for. Through the unemotional apporach, the characters feel run down and detached by the war. Anyway, the movie was still really fun. Definitely worth the price of admission. The opening action seen was bad ass. |
