I had a 2005 STi and with the winter wheels and tires, it was actually quite fun to drive in the snow (safely of course). Not once did I ever have a problem, in slush, ice, or a 1/2 foot of fresh powder! However, the front end will plow once you get above a certain level.

Get a 911 turbo like me, Its really fun in the snow. esp. with 850hp/900lbft. Just kidding my car sits in one spot in the snow. Seriously, though any car with all wheel drive and winter tires are good. My b5 s4 was great fun but then again my base model subaru imprezza actually was fun to drive and drift in the snow as well.

You can get away with any car up there. I went to school not far from there and trust me when I say this, they know how to clean up after a snow storm. Just to be on the safe side though, make sure you have all weather tires. After that you can drive practically any car and you will not get stuck
