you get what you pay for with snowboard gear.

that being said there are some sites like sierra snow board that has good boards cheap

you dont want to go cheap.

Burton is well know and make really good stuff.

My boot/bindings are burton.

I actually rode 1 season before i bought my gear, i unknownling bough a vapor as my first own board. i didnt know what it was till i got home.....way to learn how to ride haha.

have fun out there....and buy a jacket that will keep the snow out of your back in case you fall.

No waiting needed. Have you ever consider New Zealand? I thing it's the best place to go for off season riding in the western hemisphere. (Chile and other south american destinations seems less developed) Check out queenstown and wanaka on the south island. My fav is treble cone.... awesome off piste stuff. Of you like carving, cardrona offers extremely wide and well groomed runs, perfect for armpit to snow extreme carving. The remarkables doesn't have too many runs but you gotta go up there for the view and a great escape when Coronet Peak (the most popular in the area) is too crowded. Hele-skiing is also popular there if you insist on private virgin powder. I usually go there during my summer break for 4-5weeks. Accommodation is also very affordable. Off mountain activities are also plentiful and food there are excellent!
