Nice video clip of the BMW M3 GT2 in Need for Speed Shift
It was not long ago that BMW had shortsightedly locked itself in to a multiyear deal for exclusive brand rights to BMW cars in video games. That deal kept BMW out of many significant games. Thankfully, that deal ended some time ago and now BMWs have been a part of most of the best racing games out there. Continuing this tradition it looks like the Gt2 a car none of us will ever get to drive is available for a virtual drive at least |

The movement of the cars in the video looks awkward and fake. Have you seen how cars move in GRAN TURISMO 5? Have a comparsion and you will know. |

NFS is an Arcade Game, not a simulator. I personally prefer it over GT5:Prologue because it makes me feel like i have much more talent than i actually do.
Now, only if i could get past S10 in GT5.

The GT2 will be on the cover.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TORSHO I have to agree the physics on NFS isn't as accurate as GT, but I enjoy playing both. |

althought NFS Shift is taking the series a step forward in the "simulator" department but no way is it even trying to be side by side GT5 or Forza. I would like to compare it to GRID, a game that was not too arcade or sumilation. NFS Shift seems to be much more of a competitor to the GRID series than Forza/GT.

Does anyone on this board (hint, hint!) maintain a list of PC and Console driving games and which BMW models are included in each?
For example, I know that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the Playstation 3 includes the E92 M3 Coupe, and also two 1-Series cars (one of which is the Tii concept version!). Personally, I'm most interested in seeing a E90 335i in one of these games, but regardless, it'd be nice if there was a central list somewhere where we could search and find which BMW models are in which games... |

I was surprised to find that every M3 back to E36 is in this game.
E36/E46/E92 M3 Z4M 135i And as for the comments about the exterior view during driving.. yeah it sucks but that's not the point. Check out the cockpit view. Excellent. I'm really enjoying it so far. This game feels like GTR if you guys every played that. With all the driving aids off, it can be pretty frustrating.
