the correct term
My friend and I are having a small disagreement on what do you call someone working in a firm and having some what the same importance like a managing director... like in the same level but with lesser powers.... I said assistant managing director but he says vice managing director.. he says assistant is like a secretary or smth so a proper term would be vice...
managing director l l assistant managing director OR managing director l l vice managing director or just make someone the CEO |

assistant.
I have no idea what the hell is going on in your friend's mind to make "vice managing director" sound right. Verbally or otherwise.
