[BMW F22]

I saw this in our house a few times now but have no idea what it is. It kinda looks like a mosquito but is much bigger and has huge/weird wings so that's out of the question. It also doesn't look like a mosquito eater. I was gonna take it outside but it flew somewhere.

It looks like a Mosquito Hawk - they are a good insect as they hunt mosquitos.

I could be wrong though.

It looks like a species of Crane Fly..aka a misquito hawk like the poster above mentioned.

Harmless.

too hard to tell from just that picture, would probably need wing, face, abdomen close ups to classify it as there are hundreds of different species of flying insects that look like that. Could be a mosquito variation, or crane fly, or any one of many species in that family
