agreed - I owned one from 2000-2002 and regret selling it; this is one of the few cars I have had that should have been retained forever - a true driver's/collector car. if I could find a low miles 2001-2 I would jump on it in a heart beat

Yes, bread wagon (hence the user name), elf hearse, ambiguously gay duo car, rolling penis, etc. At least it's polarizing, having a Z4, you might know something about that.

i have a Z3M roadster and its a great car. i have quite a few friends that have the M coupe and if i had to do it all over again, i would have gotten a coupe (although convincing the wife would have been difficult).

i'm pretty familiar with the subframe issue, so if you have any questions, let me know. bimmerforums has a lot of good info about it also and many have the famous Randy Forbes fix which is truly top notch.
