driving gear

just curious, what does everyone like to wear while driving... like when you are out on a meet or when you are autoXing... shoes? gloves? helmets (obviously)?

what brands/models do you all prefer?

i was bored and decided to shop around... saw some piloti shoes that looked pretty cool..

I wear puma kart something or others, they're really comfortable and have a thin sole.

lol, I don't wear a helmet or gloves when I go to meets?

I have a Bell Sport 3 for my helmet, no gloves currently, I'll probably just end up buying some cheap karting gloves. I wear Puma Speedcats for shoes.

I have a pair of Piloti Monacos but ended up preferring my beat up but trusty leather mocs. The mocs gave me more feel in the toes and the more comfort in the upper heel section, the Pilotis are quite rigid in this area (which I suppose is for extreme heel and toe action).

Bottom line is, wear what's comfortable for on-street driving. If you're doing an kind of track work, try some racing shoes that fits well. The mentioned PUMA Speedcats look to be a great buy, the soles are nice, light and thin.
