Pay for one Subway footlong, get second free Apr 10th

Just thought Id share with those who did not know and like sandwiches!!!

Tomorrow participating Subway locations are set to celebrate "customer appreciation day." Plans call for the stores to give away a free footlong sandwich anytime a customer buys another footlong sandwich. One caveat: The free footlong must have the same or lesser value as the footlong that the customer pays for, the association said.

“To say ‘thank you,’ Subway franchisees wanted to do something special for our incredible customers," Jim Turi, franchisee board chairperson, said in a statement about customer appreciation day."We’re anticipating a large turn-out."

In the past, individual local franchisees have held customer appreciation days on their own, and the result was that these events often fell on "all different days," said Larry Jasenski, who owns Subway franchises in Worcester and Westborough.

Now, with tomorrow designated as the "market-wide" customer appreciation day, the event can be supported with advertising and promotions, he said.

According to Jasenski, business has been good for Subway. In hard times such as these, with many folks cutting back on dining out at fancy restaurants, the Subway $5 footlong has been perceived as a popular value meal for budget-conscious consumers, Jasenski said.

Yeah, Subway really seems to be booming these days, especially when they came out with that $5 foot long special.

I think they were one of the first to start with that kinda' promotion, and then Pizza Hut came out with the $10 'any way you like it' pizza.

No doubt, the idea has given Subway a huge lift.

OP: I'll look out for Subway's 'buy 1, get 1 free' special tomorrow. Thanks for mentioning.
