Lucky Brits get supercharged GTO
Over there, it is called the Vauxhall Monaro VXR 500.
This is the last year for the Monaro (GTO) in the UK, so it's going out with a 493bhp bang and, it's £1000 less than the 400hp version. I just may move back. Ahh no, couldn't afford the insurance over there Article: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carrevi...o_vxr_500.html Fifth Gear took one out for a road test in the last series - I think it was in October '06 if you want to d/l it from www.finalgear.com

I don't care what anyone says about the GTO, I like 'em. If the gas mileage was better I would have gotten one instead. Spent all the extra money on mods. I find them more attractive b/c so many dislike them.
Check out the Top Gear of Clarkson driving the N/A one. He loves it. The amount of power that can be had out of these engines is insane. Throw a cat back, headers, mild cam, gears, suspension, and you've got one mean car. |

My buddy works at a Pontiac dealership and we've done silly things in the 6.0 during lunch hours

The Camry is the nail in the coffin IMO. GM and Ford need a US market sedan that people will buy.
