i feel like the "over" method takes way more effort and the toilet paper sometimes rips. the under method is what i use because the paper just glides off the roll ever so smoothly

+1. I don't get why it's under. I mean it's like against the wall sometimes so you would have to kind of pry it out. I'm all about the over method and I too get pissed off when someone before changes rolls and put it as under.

BTW, there was another thread on this very topic a while back.

How are you guys ripping the paper when using the over method? Are you using single ply paper or a really tense roll holder??

My roll holder falls off before the TP rips if I pull too hard.

lol i hate when someone carelessly puts a brand new roll, like with the TP still stuck with that awful fold and you dont know what position its in until you pry it, only to discover its "under" haha

lol so true. I've had it happen so many times. It's like you're hoping/wishing that it's over and then get disappointed when it's under. Then that's when I'm like "fuck damn it!!"

I find what you say when I use the "under" method.

My grandma always did this and I hated it.

And I don't understand anyone who uses single-ply in 2010? Seriously? If it's one thing not to skimp on it's fucking toilet paper. Northern Quilted FTMFW!!!

The US military requirment to pass inspection is under, so that makes under officialy the correct way.

If you do it under, you can't see the pretty quilted designs as it comes off the roll. Plus I hate when I wipe shit on the wall trying to find the paper.

not a matter of being cheap, some people prefer the single ply. Two ply feels like you're wiping with a bath towel. No thanks

I'm for A

when it is B, sometimes you pull at it, and when separating the squares, there is nothing left to tug at, and you have to re-roll it down to get some more squares to tug at...

for some reason, this topic made me think of
