I still don't like the rear. Reminds me of an old Acura RL or CL.

This has to be a tribute to the e90 headlights.. The best out of Stuttgart copied the worst out of Munich!

Why mess with the CL it already looks good! Those trunk mounted reverse lights are annoying

Contemporary car design is getting worn out. It's like a re-hashing of everything that's already been done. We need some innovative designers willing to be a bit more daring and not just appropriate what's already out there. Or, more than likely, management that is willing to take on a little bit of risk.

Like his aesthetic or not, at least Bangle made some of those attempts.

On the other hand, it's probably really just a small minority that truly cares and can understand the fine details of the design of the car they end up buying. And management usually prefers to sit on the conservative side of the fence, esp with something like the CL buying demographic.

The facelift was never necessary, but I like the new engines. When is it going to be called the S-Class coupe?
