an euro Audi RS5...

Hi Guys,

Long story short... yesterday I went to my local Audi dealer to do some research for a buddy of mine. He has a '07 RS4 and wants to lower his car. Seems Audi NA has some service recall on the shocks for those cars - so when he has that done he wants to have his dealer also replace the springs with some euro sport springs. Audi makes two suspensions for the RS4 apprently.

Anyway... while I was over there getting the part prices... I saw they had a new RS5 coupe in white. It really looks nice, but I would still take a M3 GTS over this VAG tool. lol They also had a nice red S5 sedan next to it. The A5 sedan really looks good I think. I am still happy with my BMW though. It is also nice to see what the "other" guys are doing though.

Here are some pics... enjoy!
Dackel

White RS5... I think it had 19 or 20 inch wheels!

Electronic rear wing...

And the price tag!!! Check out those crazy lease deals! 18k euros DOWN! 36 month lease, 1280 euros per month! AND... only 15K kms per year you can drive!!!! lolol

S5 sportback...

And an R8 V10 outside registered to Audi AG in Ingolstadt - plates.

I would still take a 911 over an R8!

The four door A5 came out over here durring last winter (Jan I think). That was the first time I remember seeing one on the Autobahn. Quite a sweet looking car I must say.

Here is a "base" 3.2L six banger I saw at Audi Werk in Ingolstadt back in Feb '10.

Btw... just as BMW has many version of their GT touring... Audi is expanding their A5 sportback look. Now they even have a A7 coming out based on the A8 large luxo body style.

With the exception of the R8, I'm always surprised at how understated Audi is with the RS models. BMW definitely tweeks the body so you know an M has more balls. Other than the spoiler I'm not sure how the RS5 body differs from the S5 or A5.

Yeah, thats my thinking too. Kinda dissuaded me from getting any RS models.

personally i would go with a panamera 4s over the rs5 given the price is so close together. i'm still not warm up to the look of the rs5 yet.

RS4's are really different from S4's A4's. That's why I dont like big cars you don't tend to see the difference as much. Wide fenders on a small car really shows.

Tell me again why you would get the RS5 over a V8 R8? Maybe just to be incognito.

The RS5 in white does look nice. However there's only one problem with it, it loses every professional comparo against the M3.

If you think the lines A5SB looks beautiful then wait till you see the A7, in my opinion it's arguably Audi's best looking design so far.

I'm confused, are you refering to the cost between the 2 or was that just a general question.
