This car will definitely be better than the SLS E-cell. But, they should have come out with a version of this car to compete with the R8s and SLSs!!!
M1 hopefully. |

Agree 101% on the LS-F... About the Bimmer, similar thoughts were around when the Z8 came along and just recently we truly understand what was that car about and it became a classic and collectible in less of 10 years. |

^ First off, what the fu*k is a LS-F? It's a LF-A, get it right. If you do some reading instead of just have the same close minded "it's a Lexus at $375k wtfbbq?", you will actually get somewhere.
The LF-A can command that price tag. They are making 500 units for the whole world, and the car utilizes no compromise components everywhere that took 10 years to perfect. Custom made V10, full titanium exhaust, carbon monocoque, digital display cluster, fully customizable palate of colors and materials, etc. Even the carbon used was a new composite invented just for the car. The cabin is tuned so you can hear the sound of the engine. It's a state of the art master piece that may not be the fastest but is a engineering marvel with pure exclusivity. That sounds like $375k to me. This is even besides the point that rich people don't give a sh1t if it's $375k or 500k. Regarding the BMW vision concept, $200k will be a fail price tag. The car is rocking a 3 cylinder diesel + a hybrid drivetrain and does 0-60 the same as a e46 M3. 75MPG is a impressive number no doubt, but people pay this kind of money for performance, engineering feats and craftsmanship, not how efficient a vehicle is. Moreover, if I recall, they are planning to build 5000-10000 units? There is no exclusivity whatsoever, not nearly enough of a status symbol to justify the price tag. |

the people who buy supercars, generally dont care what mpg it gets. at $200k, 60mpg versus 17mpg really doesnt matter

This car will be for image purposes. BTW I'm thinking that those figures will be for the base engine adding a lot more power from the electric drivetrain as well.

If it can do 500-1000 miles per tank then perhaps its worth the price tag for being a tech marvel. Initial performance figures don't justify 200,000.

i think its hilarious how people are trying to justify the cost by saying it does 60mpg. last time i checked people who could afford a 200k+ super car could give two shits about gas milage, like its going to make a difference in the world anyway. just because it looks cool and has some carbon fiber does not make it a super car, imo at least.

For starters, BMW have said they intend to make several models of this car, yes on with Efficient dynamics in mind, but also a true supercar, likely a turbocharged monster in M version, a new M1. Who gets the 200k tag, i don't know, but talking about specs and numbers at this early stage, it's to early imo. Let's conclude when it's here! One thing is for certain, to look at it next to an R8, is like comparing apples and oranges imo. |

Audi R8 aal the way. Why would anyone spend $200k for a green bucket?? Stuff this car with a TT V10 and it will be a wrap.
