Man, who would've thought that Toyota's designs would devolve from that to what we have today.

It's nice to see (slightly) older cars so well taken care of. I think there's a critical time period between when a car is new-ish to when it's considered a classic, during which most cars face the highest risk of abuse and neglect. It doesn't help that we've been sort of programmed to view vehicles as largely disposable, with a useful life of only a few years.

It goes to show that a little bit of TLC can go a long way.

I cant believe I'm saying this, but based purely on exterior aesthetics I would rather have one of those MKIIIs. The vehicle pictured in photo no.3 looks amazing. Classic jap styling.

It is because they went after GM and the number 1 car manufacturer spot. They got the spot, but I think it took a toll on their brand image.

Their fun factor, styling, and reputation has taken a huge hit. Everyone of their models had some sort of recall last year. Years of GM trying to maintain their number 1 spot, nearly destroyed their company.

Toyota cars have become sterile and boring.

I loved the one in picture #1 until I saw the ugly giant wing.
