Arrow Faster is sometimes better than bigger

Texas is typically says "bigger is better".... but now, is faster any better as well?

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/04/07/t...mit-at-85-mph/

Being that the state is under a financial cutback, common sense would tell you to drop the speed limit more. For one, folks here in TX speed everyday, everywhere. The more you drop it, the more vulnerable speeders are detected. Simple physics!!!

You would think with all the BS about saving fuel and alternative energy they would lower it since the most fuel efficient speed is 55-60....but hell i might move to texas just for this

I am so glad now that I live in Texas

Thank god no more driving a 300hp twin turbo put putting along at 70 mph.

30mph-85mph on ramp blasts will be more fun and legal.

55-60 is only most fuel-efficient when you're the only car on the road. When there's congestion, there goes your fuel-efficiency.

Pretty sure you can still get a ticket for being reckless. Just because you can go that fast doesn't mean you can accelerate as fast as you want.

Hate to burst your bubble but the highest speed limit I've seen here is a pathetic 70.

Well, my "common sense" tells me this is a way to boost oil profits in a state where oil is important economically and where many oil companies are headquartered. Sounds to me like corporate handouts was all behind this sort of thinking.
