Sounds like hypertrophic (familial) cardiomyopathy. For someone that young to die of "exhaustion" is almost certainly due to an underlying condition.

Poor guy but yeah he probably had underlying conditions or maybe food/water diet issues or the heat..60 hour workweeks are pretty common

Sad thing is, he was not the first one who died in Foxconn (many other was suicide), and he will not be the last one.
We want reasonable priced items, get them made in China. That's the sad truth.

And would you really have any chest pain w/ HCM? I was under the impression that sudden death with cardiomyopathy is due to V-fib, not a massive MI. You're right about the exercise part though |

Am i the only person read the whole article?
"After having his meal, he went out with his girlfriend for some fun at the Internet bar, until 11pm." So he "supposed to be super tired/exhausted" went out with his gf to some bar and didn't get home til 11pm that night, then died the next day. Doesn't sound like died of exhaustion. He could have got food poisoning. Food poisoning is super common in China.

Weak sauce.
I've worked plenty of 80+ hours week. My most was 93 hours a week, now that was real tough. But 60 hours?? ha... funny stuff. Dang...being an architect is not easy. |
