Mini Coupe S spotted on Long Island

I saw this while passing the mini dealership in the hamptons over the weekend.

I didn't think that I would see this thing until the fall

I love it. I want one as my next DD

The quarter window is just awkward. I like elements of it, but don't think I understand why it exists. A Miata would be ten times the fun and a GTI would be ten times more practical. Hell, even a normal Mini would be better in just about every category.

It is a bit awkward. I think the main issue re the main windows tho. Why do they curve? They should be hard edged, then the side window would work.

I liked the images of the blue one with the silver top so I'm surprised that this thing just looks weird to me. Maybe it's camera distortion, but the rear roof overhand is odd. The whole rear looks confused like it can't decide if it's the front or the back. Those wheels seem pretty lame too. Was there a sticker price? Is this going to be cheaper than a plain Mini?
