I am shy.
You act like we just met you and haven't known you for years.
We all have many sides. I show my bold side here for kicks, but in person I tend to be reserved……reticent…..observational (…unless it's nookie time).
It better not be on this level.
I cried when Mufasa died……and when Littlefoot's mother died too.

Grandpa and me fishing

A professional photographer for Popular Mechanics took this shot of me and Grandpa on Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara in 1952. I was 5 years old.

Grandpa was a brick mason by trade. He had a rough life and never owned much. He and Grandma survived the Great Depression largely because he caught fish off the wharf just about everyday. In later years and after Grandpa was gone, Grandma refused to eat sea-food.

If you didn't give the details, I would've assumed it was a scene from that Leave It To Beaver show. That's pretty awesome though!!

Me & my pop, circa 1968. Looks like he's about a 6-pack of Oly into his evening at this point..

First day of school with my next door neighbor. Dig the cuffs on my pants!

We are still friends to this day. Our grand kids play together.

Me and my first car in 1983 (‘79 RX-7). Wayyyyyyy less hair now! (Recently was next to a 1st gen. RX-7 waiting at a traffic light and I was shocked at how small and low it was. I’d love to drive one again someday.)

LJ, you want to play more. Here's more.

Here I am at Disneyland with my older brother, my mom, and my sister back in 1957.

I’ve posted these in other threads before.

My first new car. A 1965 Ford Mustang convertible. Given to me for Christmas by my uncle. I blame everything that has happened since on him.

The first new car I picked out myself. A 1968 Ford Fairlane in Candy Apple Red. It was my parents’ first new car. I was five years old. This photo is a few years after the purchase and I’m holding a model of the new Pan Am 747 “Clipper Young America” that I got for free by eating a lot of Cheerios, which had no sugar and I absolutely hated…but I really wanted that airplane.
