I wonder what the mpg figures are, I could only find "30 combined," which doesn't seem very impressive. Our '18 Mazda 3 will knock down almost 40 on the highway, has a plenty decent N/A 2.5 engine with 185 hp and 184 tq (although not over that large spread.

If Mazda can make big naturally aspirated cars with that kind of mileage. My ex-wifes Mazda 6 Grand Touring with the e-package was rated at 40 on the highway and did better in real life, with the same NA 2.5 4 cylinder.

Certainly Honda/Acura can build a more efficient NA engine to get the same mileage without the added cost, weight, and complexity of a turbo.

Hard pass, this is basically a more expensive and heavier Si with leather interior.

They should have sold it as an Accord

No part of it resembles an Integra. There is not a single sports coupe in their whole line up, what a joke. Even Nissan has the upcoming Z to excite us.

If they come up with something like this, they would have a genuine weapon against the GR86/BRZ...

That would have been cool if it looked like that but it would have required a totally new body on that chassis and it's pretty evident by the finished product that the plan for Honda all along was to provide a new Integra on the cheap, incurring as little development costs as possible.

I really wanted to like this. My first new car was a 1988 Integra LS. This is not even close to the original concept - nothing but whoring out the name.

Laughable that you have to buy the technology package to get the old school manual trans.

If that pricing is to be believed, converted to CAD, top model with the 6MT brings it right into the local Golf R's territory.

So its not only ugly and a shameless use of the famed name, its also overpriced, if it sits closer to high 30s CAD by the time it arrives it may be able to carve a niche and sit between the next CTR and the current SI and fight in the market against the WRX and top spec GTIs

Can Honda really mess this up any further...

And just like that, the Integra became cool. Much prefer this to the new Type R.

Good on Honda. I didn't think they had the balls.

I think the problem is it's going to price itself out of the market.

If the Type R is already $45k MSRP (plus all the ADM) and this should ostensibly be a Type R with different bodywork and a nicer interior $5k more? $8k more?

Mid 50s puts the car up against a lot more interesting competition.

Agreed, and the CTR is already priced high against awd competition. A $50k+ fwd car is getting silly.

$48-50k for a type s integra is going to be very tough to swallow.

52k will get you a loaded m240i. i get the integra will have a slick manual and the 240 has a slushbox. but rwd and b58 are a hard combo to pass up when the competitor is a fwd 4 cylinder. i'll have to drive one first though, all the reviewers and chris harris are raving about the type r

If you want a manual, the new 7th gen 5.0 Mustang will be available for similar money.

If I am to get a Japanese import for over 50k, I'd get the Supra or the IS500 (just for the V8).

Screw that stupid CVT.

Looks good. More aggressive than the CTR. Let down on the seats.

In before some moron pays over 100k for this to fulfil their vtak dreams on 10 year financing.
