We watched Dune on Friday on HBOMax. Really enjoyed it, but my wife found it pretty hard to follow for the 1st 30 min.

I'd never even heard of the Dune novels until seeing the 1st trailer months ago, and I'm a pretty big fantasy book nerd. I'll have to give the books a go

I have recently watched a few of the "Ip Man" movies. They were quite good and I enjoyed the choreographed fight scenes. I saw 1, 2 and 4. I skipped 3 for now which is the one Mike Tyson made an appearance, lol. I guess I didn't want to wait because I knew the last one (4) would have appearances by Bruce Lee in the storyline.

I liked "IP Man 4" because of the appearance by Bruce Lee (actor portraying him) but wished there were more fight scenes with him in it.

Having said that, the main actor/character Donnie Yen/Ip Man is excellent throughout the series. He's obviously an accomplished martial artist.

WTF?

Being able to hear most of the dialog when I watched again last night was better.

Agreed 100%. The series is great and Yen is infectious to watch in action.

They did a great job building up the tension in 2 and 4. In 2 it was the arrogant boxer from the UK, and in the final one (4) it was the asshat, racist gunnery sergeant. Lol. I couldn't help but root for Yen and wanting to see him beat the crap out of those guys.

I think I also would've enjoyed seeing Bruce Lee take a crack at the sergeant. I think he would have done a masterful job of pissing him off with his showmanship and then beating him to a pulp.

I watched "Werewolves Within" on Firestick. Silly comedy-horror for a rainy Monday on the couch. I also watched "Night Teeth" on Netflix. It was decently entertaining for a vampire flick with a "Lost Boys-meets-Gossip Girl" feel. Lol!
