True. Although that does beg a question. And I guess it depends on how you drink. But how long does a bottle last you? I tend to keep one bottle of booze (fifth) or one six pack at a time. I don't, for instance, have a previously opened bottle of wine and an opened bottle of whiskey or a six pack around at the same time. If I feel like wine on a given weekend, I'll buy a bottle and have only that over the weekend. Same with beer or scotch/whiskey. If I have a six pack, it's usually two bottles/night for Fri-Sun. Same with a 1.75l bottle of wine. A fifth of whiskey usually lasts 5 or 6 nights (not necessarily in a row).

You guys with bars in your house probably drink something different most nights. I don't have a bar or even a decent liquor cabinet, so I just grab whatever I want for the weekend or week and go with that.

BTW - went to the store I got the Plantation XO from down in DC. They were out.

But, got some Diplomatica Reserva, so all wasn't lost.

I always have 10 or so different bottles open at a time (rum, vodka, scotch, whiskey) and grab whatever sounds good at the moment. As for beer, I normally have a large variety on hand, some chilled in the drink drawer ready to go.
