I'm thinking that she should be dumping OP, not the other way around. Perhaps those boxing lessons started to pay off and she decided to go for the high-impact breakup?

I pre-paid for 10 kickboxing lessons and took her to sign up. She attended the 1st class on Tuesday. Initially she was pretty upset, but seemed to enjoy the class.

As far as sleeping in the second bedroom... not sure why girls think this is a punishment. All my exGFs did it at some point and a few days later they all came back...

I am lazy.
My wife is lazy.

However, our laziness is only in some aspects of our lives. She's career driven, therefore, I don't care if she wants to binge watch TV all day when she's home. I'll man up and go get dinner at McDonalds.

I feel like this could be a troll thread so I have hesitated joining in til now. Anyways, my two cents:
Sleeping in another room is not a good sign, especially since you're not even married yet. She doesn't want to be around you as you're a nag. She's tired and doesn't care about working out because most girls work out if they need to lose weight. You can't motivate someone to be healthy until they truly want it for themselves. She can work out in the morning before work wears her out if she actually wanted to. There is always time. I think you're just a bad match but she's hot so you're sticking around even though you know it. Get out now before you get married and have kids. There's a lot of good advice in this thread and I hope you consider it.

If you think this is normal and ALL of your ex-gfs have slept in a second bedroom, it sounds like you have more problems than you must think.

In 30 years, the ONLY times we've slept in separate bedrooms was if one of us was sick and contagious, NOT once because we had a fight (we have plenty of those though) or were so mad at each other that we couldn't stand sleeping next to each other.

Sorry, just calling it with the facts presented. You might be a really nice guy who just picks the wrong type of GF (past and present) or maybe you're just a bit of a dick to your girlfriends :

either way, good luck

I don't think it's normal - but most (if not all) of my GFs were typical spoiled "princesses". Daddy has money and she is used to getting what she wants.

As far as me, I am a nice guy, who can be a bit of a jerk. I am not the type who will bend over backwards...

I have a slightly different expectations. I want to have a home made meal..

It is all doable - just takes a bit of commitment from BOTH parties.

Good input.

I personally hate working out in the morning. I tried it in grad school and would crash after lunch time.

As they say: there is a will there is a way. If she wanted to work out/stay healthy she would find a way to do it. I am just trying to motivate her a bit without "nagging" too much.

We can all be jerks at times. It sounds like you need a different kind of GF next time. Look for someone pretty and smart and who doesn't put up with your BS and you'll be much better off and probably happier. And your future kids won't have to grow up in a broken home.

I despise gyms, as you are back inside. Get her outside, if anything. Running, cycling, hiking. Much better.
