To me, 26° C is when you can go outside with light clothing on and feel quite comfortable. I think it is the ideal ambient temperature.

I spent decades in a major US West Coast city where, for a good deal of the time, it was frequently 17° C / 62° F. There was almost always a steady breeze, and that made it feel even chillier. We skinny children (kids were skinny then – think 50s and 60s

) stayed quite active when we were outside during those years.

That's why 26° C sounds perfect to me. It's also why I moved to a place where 26° C, as it was today, is so much more common between 1 May and 30 September.

Yep, I'm on the southern outskirts of Brisbane. Usually we get westerly winds this time of year which drive the temps down, but it just hasn't happened. Nights are still hitting single figures at times but days have been warm and sunny.

Just saw on the news, UncleWede, that many SoCal locations are up a couple degrees today compared to yesterday except for Oxnard, which is down 5 degrees. You lucky SOB.

And yeah, we need water out here desperately.
