For us, we have to shoot "Expert" and then take the 1911 class. Only then can we carry the Staccato. I shot it once; that trigger is niiiiiiiice.
Its basically a 1911 class

No idea, would have to look that up! We used to have drive through daquiri places for goodness sakes but they finally banned those for obvious reasons...
We still have drive through daiquiri shops in Metairie.

Curious what sights you use. I bought a Staccato and love it. But I also bought a red dot sight and installed that and am not really feeling that. About ready to go back to the iron sights.

What don't you like about your RDS?

I'm a fan of them. My carry guns, my SHTF guns, my fun guns, and my range toys all have some form of a RDS installed.

I'm not a fan of red dot but I guess majority of the deputies that have the red dot on their gun loves it. An average gun fight is 3 to 5 feet so basically from the holster its point then shoot. The red dot would come in handy when you have to tread that needle in a hostage situation.

It takes me longer to find that dot than it does to line up irons. And I am not in a league or anything so it's main purpose would be for carry. And I suspect time will be of essence then,

Maybe it's me. Maybe I need more range time. I confess I am getting pretty lazy. Don't shoot as much as I really should to retain skills.

Do cops pull over lowered, riced out cars with fart can mufflers more than other cars?

In south florida anything goes on a car down here and I can't believe some are driven on the streets.

If I was a cop I'd be targeting these fast and furious types in their civics.

I wouldn't say that's accurate to be honest. I think in the last year & a half, I've pulled over two. One ran from me and fled the vehicle, so I towed it. The other I cited for driving at night without tail lights on and driving unlicensed.

What happened to the dude that fled the vehicle?

Also, do you ever ding people for tinted windows?

I was monitoring traffic at location where people run stop signs with reckless disregard. I observed a white '94-95 Acura Integra blow the stop sign, so I proceeded after him. He saw me in his rear view mirror and took off. I pursued him around a few corners and when I rounded the final corner, the Integra was stopped in the street, engine running, music blasting and the driver's door left opened. Since the vehicle was left abandoned, I towed it. I couldn't place the driver, so I inconvenienced the registered owner with storage fees for the actions of the driver. My gift!!!!

I rarely cite for tint unless I'm citing for other things that caused the primary contact.

Newish (1.5yr) resident to south Florida. I'll be doing 80-90mph on the interstate to keep up with traffic and see people flying past me well over 100mph. Some have even passed cops in the other lane lol. Just how fast is too fucking fast here? I really don't understand.

I suppose that'll be dependent on the mood of the day.

Just a quick plug r/t an older string on here - most Veterans are eligible for free and truly confidential services from their local Vet Center (not even a note in the VA records). I work with many LEO's, and most would not have gone someplace that put it on record (and a lot of local agencies are 'self insured' so your insurance company is also your employer). Eligibility is technically for combat Vets, but also many other subcategories, and we aren't scrutinized, so usually 'work it out to a yes' when it comes to eligibility q's.

Does it also have to do with the fact you're doing the same in your personal car (M4) off duty??

No faster than is safe

So if all the people in the plane pick the window seat and just close the shades, can I scream loudly about the hairy guys pulling wires out of the engine???
