The cap side? Yeah it's one end with the lock lever and the other end with the ball cap thats supposed to set in base mount. I'm going to try and mess around with it more today, got too frustrated last night.

This is with it tightened down to normal tension, but you can feel some resistance in the wheel just rolling it, so it's not as free as my oem quick release either.

Not sure which model trainer you have but there are several manuals on line for them.

Axius
Open the yellow locking lever (D) and then turn the bare metal silver locking jaw (H) clockwise so that it makes the length sticking out of the black frame shorter. Apparently you can't adjust the length of (H) by twisting unless the (D) is in the open position. (which apparently is up as pictured below) The proper length is achieved when H makes contact with the skewer as D is about 30 degrees from straight down in the locked position.

Did it come with a front wheel block to make the bike level? If not, grab a piece of wood, 2x4 or 4x4, what ever makes the front wheel height the same as the rear wheel height. THEN, we need to work on that seat height and angle position. Don't want you putting too much pressure on that pudendal nerve. Proper fit is good to keep the yang up.

The seat should be level. Not nose pointing up. After you have it level and your seat height is good, if you have any numbness anywhere in your legs or undercarriage, twist your seat so that the nose of the seat is about 2 to 5 degrees off center to either the left or right. I guess you lose track of which picture you took when you make that type of purchase weekly.
