I rewatched Top Gun last night in preparation for the upcoming one. Was such a good movie and ahead of its time. It’s sad to see how badly some of the actors have aged. I know it’s been 36 years.

This 1982 Ridley Scott movie gave Harrison Ford an additional spring board and boosted his acting career. Released just one year after Raiders of The Lost Ark (Indiana Jones), Blade Runner is a must see or rewatch.

Blade Runner is now a forty year year old movie inventing the genre for The Terminator movie (1984). The sequel, Blade Runner 2049, was released in 2017 - BUT if you don't recall the original then give Blade Runner a revisit..

The M.I. franchise has become Better-Than-Bond IMO. Who is Lashana Lynch?

Never get tired of it.
Vangelis just died too... what a soundtrack.

I found the sequel to be nearly as good.

I liked A Quiet Place. Released in 2018, so that's 4 years ago.

There's a sequel, A Quiet Place 2, released in 2020. Liked this one as well but thought the first one was better.

Anyone seen The Death of Stalin?
I thought it was a biting and hilarious satire... definitely worth a watch.

I was going to watch it in theaters but decided not to due to the terrible reviews.

So, the three of us went and saw the new Top Gun movie tonight. The original is one of my faves so this one had a lot to live up to. The new one is pretty much a rehash of the original. Lots (too many IMO) references to the original.

My Wife enjoyed the beach football (not volleyball) this time scene.

I don’t care if half of them weren’t real but the jet scenes are extraordinary.

If you liked the original you’ll like this one, can’t see any Oscars on the horizon though!

Its not too gory or scary, just one gross scene. I liked it, but I still think Hereditary is better, especially with Toni Collette's oscar-snubbed performance.

Deciding whether to see TG Maverick or wait for the dvd, no doubt the action is good and first of a kind with the jets and some are saying a continuation of the '86 film dragging back the old loose ends which I guessed Cruise would do.

I have the Borat DVD in my DD at all times, lol.
A few years ago, I was trapped in a major traffic jam... 2+ hours.
I watched the entire movie.
