Fair enough. I personally just like the clean look. My S63, M2 and even my LX570 is debadged.

M models (EDIT and AMG) don't count, it's the debadging of entry level then highly modifying the body and trying to pass it off as an M car that's fugaze. Nothing wrong with adding some kit to a non M car but doing that and then debadging is meh. If you're in a non M and modified a badge is a must. My 335i from back in the day looked liked an M3 i suppose, if i were to debadge i wouldn't have been able to live with myself.

Eh, i'd be more concerned if someone added the M fenders + signature quad exhaust then debadged. But my 335i is debadged and is obviously not an M car. I prefer the clean rear end.

People were talking to him in the parking lot asking about how fast it was.... he cranked that v6.. I timed it perfect with catless start and blew it out of the water and drove off.

Those chrome wheels may be the cherry on top of the whipped cream on top of the ice cream poser.

I personally think that even if you modify the body and de-badge, that's totally fine. If someone specifically tries to pass their car as a higher model car when it's not, that's awkward. That being said, if someone wants to do it, sure - It's their car. Bless their heart, but it's not like they are fooling anyone. LOL.
My obsession with de-badged cars started when I moved to Europe. Most cars on the road were de-badged. You could order a car de-badged from the factory.
