Well done Oscar!
Faultless race.
Also a strong race from RUS. He had that strong qualifying, but I didn't expect the MERC to be this strong in the race. They seem to have a lot of things finally sorted in the last year of this ruleset.
I think Max got everything possible out of his car, but it's not looking good for the rest of the year.

With reduced rear wing gaps to .5 mm max the Larens should slow come Suzuka but by how much is anybodies guess.

Never say never my friend, the season has just started and Wache can't get everything wrong all the time, the MAX factor will slowly come back as their budget bites into the right things coming up.

Well done Oscar. This is going to be an interesting season at McLaren.

Two stop was a killer.

Doohan Tadger tussle was fun.

Ferrari radio closely followed that for entertainment value.

Max did the best he could in that car. Definitely ahead of where the car should be.

Poor Fernando. I reckon he’d have scraped a point. Lance did well until his mediums died. They clearly went one stop strategy for the edge but everyone else did it in reverse which worked better.

Handsome George looking good this year. He has really stepped up a level.

Antonelli driver of the day was an interesting choice.

Enjoy it while you can those in Woking but those pressure tests on the rear wings will kick in now for Suzuka in a fortnight.

Yeah. I think Oscar is the more interesting driver to watch.
Lando is a very likeable guy but it often looks to me that he finds it more important on how people look at him and what they think of him than the racing and being a racing driver.
That makes him also really insecure when racing I think. Also last week he was irritated when so many people talked about the car and not him.
A real racer doesn't care. It's the final result that should speak for itself.
And Oscar is all business. Nobody has to tell him what to do during the race.
He's more like Max.
I still don't know if he's as good as a driver as Lando (certainly last year 2nd half Lando was significantly better), but maybe he'll improve.

He's definately not at the level Max is, but probably no one is. Last race in Melbourne, Max made 1 mistake, and that is going a little bit wide in 1 corner, but that was it. Pretty much every other driver made more or bigger mistakes (even Lando went off track)

Komatsu indeed is stellar manager there and no doubt cheered Gene up some, Guenther must be taking stock of this.

I like Oscars more 'no nonsense' demeanour whereas Lando could be your best friend on a Friday night at the bar or pub kind person.

I also can't believe GiGi finished third...that two faced woman.
