So the question I was going to ask before I got sidetracked a few pages ago is, "Why is it so hard for women to trust men?" I've been surprised and sometimes shocked when well in a relationship something happens and something said makes me suddenly realize that the deep, unconditional trust that I might feel is not and might never be reciprocated at that level, yet on a day to day basis there's no inkling whatsoever of that. We're uniformly responsive, caring and affectionate with each other and perhaps the other party even more so than me. Most of my relationships have gone where nothing feels stilted or forced, it's all a natural flow of shared experiences that are positive and life affirming and build on themselves. Is it a generalized insecurity that women feel, but more a cultural and social rather than a personal phenomenon? In the incident I cited with my friend that level of total trust in the partner is rarely seen or experienced yet I feel the vibe I send out should encourage the other party to take those kinds of risks. After all, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I hope that makes sense.

Also you need to remember women are unable to forget anything. If an old boyfriend in college was a douche, it is ingrained to us to expect that behavior from the future men in our lives.
In long relationships the guys get hotter by the years while our bodies change, our priorities change and honestly, I cant figure out why anyone would want us.

The only thing one can do is to take her hand on public, make sure she feels like she truly belongs in your arm, and when we have had a shitty day and we look like drowned rats, taking us close and holding us for a bit is the miracle drug every relationship needs.
