My build looks very similar but in Brkln Grey. Production date was Oct 15 but I've been stuck in Quality Check for 2 weeks. BMW will not provide any explanation to my dealer. Frustrating!

Welcome to the forum. Just so you are aware, you do not have a vehicle on order if the dealer can't give you a production number. Without that you are just in the order bank waiting for them to get an allocation. Contact your dealer and see if they can give you the production number. If not you may want to shop around and find a dealer with an allocation.

Thank you and thanks for the advice. I am brand new to BMW, so I’m learning as I go along. I’m going to try to contact the salesman in the next few days. This is my hometown dealership, only 10 miles away, so I’ll probably hang with them for awhile. The salesman and sales manager estimated delivery just before Christmas.

Finally arrived in Richmond, CA at 11:11pm this evening. If all goes well, I'll finally be able to pick it up from my dealer early next week!

I think BMW Genius is a little off on mine. They’re saying it’s going to be at the dealer Saturday. It hasn’t even left Spartanburg yet

I just got a call from the dealership. They gave me a production number. Scheduled to be built between November 4-10. Week 45. Estimated delivery between November 15-20. How that happened so quickly, I have no idea.

Okay good. You should be in 150 Production Begins at this point so you can use the "F12" process to get your production date.

Returning to the BMW fold. Previously had a first gen X3, a 335 and a 135, as well as a two wheeler S1000XR.

Ordered today:

M50
Tanzanite Blue
Black M interior
21” jet black matte 1037M
Premium
Sport Pro
Parking Assistance
Ventilated seats

Week 47 allocation and got production number, but dealer could not really say how much delay (if any) the Tanazanite will add.

OCDad great choice for the color!

My dealer was also not sure if Tanzanite will impact the leadtime.

Maybe with more M50s ordered with Tanaznite now, it speeds up the extra time as they can paint a few bodies in a row.

From what I understand, there has been no empirical evidence of systematic production delays with Tanzanite Blue across any BMW model. I really don't understand why the BMW USA site continues to show that delay warning for Tanzanite Blue. While it's a Priority 1 color, it's hardly uncommon and shouldn't warrant any special production considerations.

Note that the other markets' X3 M50 configurators don't show any special warnings for Tanzanite Blue, even though their cars are produced at Spartanburg too.

Perhaps something to justify the $1500 adder? Either way, that Blue is pretty iconic for BMW!

The processing at Richmond took less time than expected! Just 4 days from the BNSF train arrival to the car arriving at my local dealership. Now the real fun begins...

Hello everyone,

I need your advice, I will be ordering G45 sometimes next week. I will do a lot of highway driving with my family. I am in Europe and I plan on ordering x20d.

I configured the Brooklyn Gray model with M Sport Package, Panoramic Glass Roof, Auxiliary Heating, Premium Package and Rear Window Tint.

I have couple of questions:

1. Are 19'' Y-Spoke 1035 rims too small for this car? Should I upgrade to 20''?
2. Is the suspension too tight on M-Sport Package? Should i add VDC to the configuration?
3. Can the cabin temperature only be changed through touchscreen and voice control? There is no way to change it with the iDrive knob?
