Yes, I recently saw this companies website and think that it offers sufficient security for a pistol. However, I wouldn't leave one in the vehicle overnight. If you're too lazy to carry it, you shouldn't have one.

In NJ if you have a firearm in your car you can only drive directly to-from an authorized destination (range or gunsmith) without any stops. The state doesn't want anyone stealing a firearm from a vehicle.

Similarly, in MA........ you can carry on your person if you are properly licensed.... for a firearm in a vehicle (if not on your person)... MUST be unloaded, and Locked inside of a container (glove box or console do not count) outside of the reach of the driver (preferred is the trunk if the vehicle is so equipped)... If you have ammo for the firearm, it must be located in a separate location from the firearm during transport.

This afternoon I went over to my arms dealer of choice ( http://osarms.com ) order a P365 while I wait for my pistol purchasing permit. I was surprised to find they just received a shipment from Sig Sauer and they had every variation in stock. I left 50% to reserve a P365 w/ manual safety. Ottomanelli's is operating as appointment only, and the place was still the busiest I've ever seen.

may end up going AR40 though as I have a ton of 40s&w ammo and 9mm is getting pricey around here.

The industry (as far as I know) calls them a Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC). Just call it a "PCC" for a 9mm because that's what the majority are, and perhaps if you're building an oddball 45ACP PCC I'd personally use "a PCC in 45ACP." Even "PCC-45" would be better.

Thinking about buying a new AR15 after i sold mine a few months before all this madness with covid and BLM started. Are prices absolutely ridiculous right now?

It's just nomenclature that exists in almost every category. Might be a pet peeve of yours, but it's definitely easy to remember (excluding the AR10 and 15) and quicker to say than, for example, this is my AR-15, but in 9mm. OR, this is my AR9.

Elections are coming up, so I wouldn't count on prices to go down, especially after Trump practically conceding his upcoming election on Fox News.

I think the best vehicle storage for a pistol is the C7 vette.
Not really safe or secure, but very Bond-like to push a button and the nav screen goes down to reveal a hidden compartment. |

Bad idea. Unless they are all the same. But then why have a rotation. As a competitive shooter (a while back) I shot 1911's in competition and got tired of carrying (concealed) a heavy gun, so I switched to a 9mm double stack (S&W M59). One evening a bunch of us were at the range practicing and someone said let's shoot a few stages with our carry guns. What an eye opener. Stuff that I did second nature with the 1911 was foreign with the M59. I'm not just talking about the difference in trigger pull, but mag release and slide release the way the mag feels being swapped. I can only imagine the additional confusion were you to have to do it in a "stress" situation. Just one mans opinion...... |

I respect your opinion. However i train with all my guns regularly and choose what to carry dependent upon the situation. Winter carry gets the bigger guns such as my glock 23 or 1911 while summer carry is usually my G2C or sometimes especially if im wearing shorts a 6shot J frame. However sometimes i will mix it up especially if i think im going into a high risk area i may carry the glock even during the summer.
It also depends if its nighttime i am more likely to grab the 1911 as it has nightsights as does the glock. I havent found any for the G2C yet
