What color did/would you buy

The color discussion provoked me to read about whether black and white, or the "non-colors" in-between are actually colors or shades. They don't appear on the spectrum and don't stimulate color-perceiving retinal cones. Interesting articles attached.

I don't think BMW will ever offer a choice of "Colors or Shades", partially because the "Shades" might outnumber the "Colors"!

If you want a real colorfull paint, you can order a BMW individual paintjob.

They have a great choice of all spectrums for any taste.

I'll order next week and I'll most likely go for Tanzanite or an individual paint.

Graphite. Considered the red but in person was missing some of the pearl/metallic color shift. Brooklyn would have been my only other choice

Leaning towards Arctic Racing Blue. It has a blueish gray tone in the shade but a silverish blue in good lighting.

What does Tasman Green Metallic looks like? I'm curious. I recently tested the new X3, and I like it. I wish BMW offers the Emerald green color. Just like you, I am just a dreamer.LOL.

If you look in my thread on this forum there are lots of pics of the interior. I love the Amber. I feel it really warms up the interior. It is a nice contrast to the shinier black trim.

black vegenza or the m alcantara/vegenza mix will complete the sporty contrast look

Love Tanzanite Blue ! My previous M40i was Tanzanite. A very deep rich blue. Swirls easily though so take care of it as you would a black car.

Yes, I'm quite aware of that. But the difference in the metallic efect side by side to the the Arctic Race Blue was sooo obvious, there was no doubt that the Tanzanite will look just great when it's clean, while the Arctic Race is always just another dull blue like Phytonic.

Welcome to the Tanzanite Blue family! It's the most beautiful BMW color in my opinion, outside of the Individual colors. Are you planning to do PPF?
