I think you have to love your son / daughter regardless, but it doesn't mean you have to agree with them or accept their lifestyle as right. Especially for those who are Christians (as these people sound, but who knows, could be Jehovah's witnesses, Mormons, etc) - if this is against your beliefs, then you calmly state that and where you stand. Doesn't mean you stop loving them as a person...everyone is a sinner and in need of love...but there is a concept of justice too and so we can't be "accepting" like someone else posted - that's definitely not what Christianity is about.

Clearly the parents know better about what god wants and says; seems like they are tight with the man. It is also evident that the child has been taken by the devil, who undoubtedly has commandeered his soul and his YouTube account and made him post that video.

Not sure what the debate is all about, really.

You have a good point there. Perhaps they should arrange for some sort of exorcism, as quickly and discreetly as possible. That will cure their son of the gay, and spare them the inevitable shame from the rest of their local congregation when they find out their son has moved out because they didnt love him enough to stop the demons from taking hold.

Exactly. And, since the advent of modern science and the admission by the church that the world is, in fact, not flat, the exorcism industry has taken a severe hit. I would think they can get such services performed on the cheap; those guys are chomping at the bit for work.

That's sort of what I was getting at in my post - I thought it a little suspect that it was recorded. So I'm not surprised that people are handing him money like the sheep they are. But it worked out for him and his partner...they got some money to spend now...wonder how long that will last.

I bet we start seeing more of these given that others will look at this success and figure its an easy way to get some money. Which actually makes me happy...nothing like abuse of people's generosity to make the whole world jaded very quickly. Then maybe I'll stop getting bombarded by the "rah rah rah - I'm LBGT and you must agree with me or you are close-minded" crap.
