We'll need all-wheel drive as it will be my bad weather car as well. I figure it would nice to have one all-wheel drive in Boston to complement my m3. I'd like to keep it under $40K.
- Base C300 4matic: basically no option car to keep it just under $40K - Used Evoque: big on style, small on everything else? - Discovery Sport: much more utility than Evoque, base price under $40K - Audi A3: new contender Of course there millions of other choices in the lower price range- Honda CRV, Subaru, Hyundai Santa Fe...etc. |

My wife's X1 isn't up for a while but I'm in a similar situation. The three vehicles I'm considering are a CPO X5, CPO Audi A6 with the 3.0T or a new Grand Cherokee Limited with the technology package. I think I'm most comfortable with her in the Audi, better braking and handling in panic situations.
I think to really compliment an M3 it would make sense to have a bit more utility aka space. On the lower range, the new Mazda CX-5 is a really good value and I prefer the look over its competitors |

Still deciding...narrowed down to the following choices, will be leased:
1) Audi All-road 2) BMW X1 x28i 3) Audi A3 2.0T Quattro - again, it will be primarily my wife's car, but will also use as family car/winter car. We have a one year old as well. Thanks |

Wagons are the best. Too bad many Americans don't like them so therefore car makers don't bring them to your land.
There's also the E-class wagon, but it might be too big for your needs.
