Inside sources have hinted at an 2 seperate "performance" version of the 135i comming out. One is supposedly a cheaper verson with solely for the track, stripped and another with a more potent engine and upgraded performance for around $50k.

I wouldn't take the 1 series too lightly, BMW hasn't been this exciting in years.

Yeah, a real Tii might come. The engine has way more potential, and weight saving is always possible. If BMW gives the go-ahead (do you know that already?)...
