1MOREMOD - I am not sure who the appropriate tuner for BMW diesel would be, or if the DPF delete is an option on BMW diesel's. The gold standard for TDi is Malone...

I still remember an old SNL skit: A big chart on the easel with red and blue lines going all over the place.

Am I seriously the only one from California face-palming right now? We spend anywhere between $4-$5 for 91 octane, ick.

I started driving in 1973, gas was 32 cents a gallon, I had a part time job on weekends made take home $14 per week. When the gas shortages hit, I road a motorcycle Yamaha 175 Enduro. My sister dated a guy who worked for an alarm company and he would come over to the house with his work van and I'd sneak out and siphon a gallon or two every couple of days. Never sat in a gas line. Unfortunately she broke up with the stupid SOB in @1975 and I had to resume buying gas then. If I remember correctly gas was about a buck a gallon then and it seemed ridiculous. Drove by an Arco station on way in to work 91 octane was 3.69 a gallon and though that was a deal. Have times ever changed.

not complaining really, just pointed the fact that crude oil is at $50 a barrel and we still pay at the pump when it was $100 a barrel. I find it really fishy that there are outages all the time that keeps the prices high...

We just bought an Eco diesel Grand Cherokee Overland 4x2 to replace the truck for pulling the boat. I'm liking it and may thing about DD it and selling the E90. Only has about 1100 miles on it but looking forward to @700 miles on a tank unloaded or @500 miles when towing a 4200 pound boat. That alone will save us big time. Going to look into a tune but it's a a rather unknown motor in the US made by VM Motori. Anyone know of tuning options for that one?
BTW old truck was a 94 Ford F250 with a 460. Got 10 MPG unloaded and 10 MPG towing, had 175K on it and was a dependable beast but way more than we needed, got it cheap from someone who owed us money(pseudo family member). |

Who knows, maybe the day of reckoning is finally approaching. Nearly eight years of an artificial boom market created by Central Banks dumping trillions into the market. Reality was bound to catch up sooner or later, but I still wouldn't bet against the Fed. I have no doubt another round of QE is in the cards (QE4), and the Fed/Central banks can keep this charade going a lot longer than any of us can stay solvent. I guess 94 million Americans out of the work force isn't enough for this "recovery", they won't be happy until we're all unemployed or working three jobs with no benefits.
Raising rates is joke, and has always been a joke. I still wouldn't short this market with YOUR money though. ;D |

Jaw drops.......... I'd go drive around just to burn a tank for fun! Haha. I keep track of my fuel, and I spent a little over $3100 in the past 100 days, that's just sad. Since I shorted oil, I think that paid for the fuel though. So there is some light.
