I only buy banana republic jeans now. Wish they had more than a couple colors to choose from though.

I have one pair I had custom made by the tailor that custom made a suit for me. Really comfortable and perfect fit. Then I gained back weight previously lost... Back to Levi's until I shed some pounds (which I finally understand gets more difficult with age).

I wonder how it feels to be short and able to pick though different brands of jeans. Its extremely difficult to find jeans or pants that are 36 or more inches at the inseam, that aren't for Big and tall men. What ever happened to the Thin and Tall section, at least for those that don't have big waist or hip measurements. Sorry that's my rant! Lol

They are expensive (probably about the same as expensive "designer" jeans I've heard people buy) but if you have a tailor that makes suits nearby I'd recommend checking with them on jeans. If your weight fluctuates, not such a great idea as I have demonstrated, but if you are a pretty steady state waist-wise having at least one pair of custom tailored is great. It won't have a fancy label that tells everyone what you paid but they will fit perfectly.

These days for me it's...

Levi's
Hudson
AG
Diesel (but they piss me off never having 35/36" inseam in my waist size in stores)
Joe's

I work For a very casual company and its either denim or nice dress trousers for me. After years of khakis, I got rid of them all and will never put on another pair.

Only jean day is Friday, the rest of the time khakis... 511s actually, they're the most comfortable. After 24 years of an AF uniform I relish the ability to wear jeans to work, even if it's only on Fridays!

I have some Armani Exchange ones and one set of True Religions that I'm just dying to fit into again, but I also like Levi's... Since I'm still battling away all the weight gain I had when life wasn't so smooth last year, the 36" waist zipper won't even go up one notch since I'm a 44" fat f**k now. But for now, it's whatever the hell I bought at Wal-Mart (doesn't even have a brand on it *EDIT* "Rustler"... Apparently some subsidiary of Wrangler) until my weight comes back down.

Lucky brand for me exclusively. I have a few pairs of 7's but I prefer Lucky Brand. They are comfy and about as much as I would ever want to pay for a pair of jeans.

I've always been into 510 Levi's. Love the way they sit and look on my body!

Diesel used to be very good

Earnest Sewn was one of the best until the founders left the company

Levis, you cant beat for the heritage, and Price/ quality ratio.

I still have some old earnest sewn, I also have DRKSDW but I most wear my own Brand (yes I own a fashion Company)

MVillan
If you want jeans with really long inseam you have to go really high end and be prepared to spend more than what average America is willing to spend per pair.
Brand Like DRKSDW by Rick Owens, Acne and even my own brand do make Pants/ jeans with very long inseam.
However bear in mind that they may be more edgier/ avant garde than what is available mainstream

I like trying different brands so I'm not very particular to the name. But I am extremely anal about the fit and the material. The denim has to have a little elasticity to it. Much more comfortable then regular denim.

You left "skinny" off your list.

Man this is an important thread! haha So many brands out there seem to cut their jeans to fit skinny high school kids. Sometimes it gets frustrating; I end up yelling (inside) does anybody make jeans for a guy who has a pair of balls he actually cares about not crushing!? I usually have to buy baggier jeans than I would prefer just so my guys can breath. With that said haha, some of the better fitting ones I have are Mavi, Joes, Lucky brand, Banana Republic, Guess (but they are kinda baggy). I also have a pair of J-Crew casual grey pants that fit perfect, so i've been meaning to see what their jeans are like.
