Could sell your MS6 and get a Chevy SS (the Holden, not Camaro). It's 4 doors, has a LS3, does 1g in the skidpad, and used can be had for $35k with 3k miles. Fully loaded as standard as well (if that makes any sense). The 2015 comes manual with MRC.

Then I would go to the M235 xDrive as suggested by ASAP above (which I noticed you didn't comment on).
In any case, in reading your replies, it gives the impression that you are relatively picky and hard to please. It also seems like you've done a lot of thought about this already since you are quickly dismissing most every one of the good suggestions that fit your originally stated criteria. That being the case, I agree with the guy above - just keep what you have until something that you find more appealing comes along. |

Not an option. To buy something in that range, the Z06 has to go. I own the MS6. Banks still owns the Z06.

Camaro ZL1?
You can get them in auto or stick. Coupe or vert. They're pretty quick right out of the box. They respond to mods great. They're really well-rounded; you could DD one, or use it as a weekend fun car. Plus, the new 6th Gen Camaro has driven the prices on them through the floor. My personal recommendation would be a 6MT ZL1 Vert. They're just so fun to hoon and play around in. They don't have the same outright capability as your Z, but having driven both, I find the ZL1 more fun. It's also a great boulevard cruiser, too. And the drop top takes care of the visibility issues. |

The new SS does not outperform the ZL1. It may come close to matching it in some handling/cornering aspects on account of it's new chassis, but that's it. And the ZL1 can be purchased for less money, and with a few mods, would be much faster in a straight line. I highly doubt your friend had a ZL1. You said a Gen V is on your list, well, a ZL1 is the same package for less money, and comes in loud colors. If you don't like the looks, there's nothing I can do about that. Sounds like you've just about ruled every other option out, though. |

I don't really know what else to suggest that everyone else hasn't already. Maybe something older with some character and that might be a good investment?

If it needs two doors I'm getting the best Corvette I can get, or Porsche, or mustang or viper or so many options Four doors? used 335 or Chevy SS with a six speed manual, but good luck finding that |

The ZL1 is going to be faster rowing through gears, hooking up in and out of turns and putting all that power down with it's insanely wide tires, no mods necessary. It's an amazing car, but not for everyone. The best thing about my 5th gen was the handling, although I did have upgraded sways and braces. Could just yank through turns or pull hard and level through a sweeper. |

M235xi or 435xi M sport
I have a 435xi M sport and I love driving it in nice or foul weather. It also has been road raced on both Lightning and Thunderbolt at NJMP. We take trips to NH in it and it's the most comfortable car we have ever owned. I prefer it over my Supercharged Range Rover Sport in every way. You should be taking that Z06 to the track. It's how you would most enjoy owning it. I live in NJ about 40 mins from New Jersey Motorsports Park. We do a couple track days a year plus we hit the drag strip for fun a couple times a year as well. I am buying an M2 in a few months to replace my Range Rover as a daily driver. I also have more track focused cars but the BMW is so easy to jump in and drive and gives me near super car performance with all the comfort and versatility of a more practical sedan/coupe. WRX is something I was also considering but the BMW has proved itself for the past 2+ years that I will get another. My dad recently picked up a 2016 5 series and he loves it. He already said he would get another BMW as a follow up. I also have a single turbo RX-7 but I rarely drive it. Probably for the same reasons you rarely drive the Z06. It's a car that mostly gets taken out for cars and coffee and when I do some photography. Otherwise it just feels like a hassle...

If you want another 2 seat 2 door fun car...look at a 2006-2007 Aston Martin Vantage...one of the nicest cars I have ever had the pleasure to drive. They are unique...not one on every corner and most used ones are low mileage garage queens that have already had the depreciation hit, but probably a little more than $40k still...can get one with 40k miles for close to $40k....25k and under still command $45-50k. ...no loud colors until the newer year models for the most part.

Perhaps you should be familiar with what you are talking about before you try calling someone out. I work at a GM store and have lots of experience with all of the cars being discussed. |
