This is really the only solution...
17 inch steely from an e46 330i (7jx17) and a 205 cheap tire mounted on it. And don't forget a jack kit from BMW parts.

You've clearly never driven cross country in a Miata. That's space for ten people right there!
But I went twelve years with my M Coupe with nothing more than a plug kit and roadside. Towed once, plugged two times. Not a big deal. Didn't have RFT's on the wife's 135i either, but left them on the last two, they really have gotten better. |

Congratulations on ditching the run flats. I made the move last month and couldn't be happier with the ride improvement.
I bought the Slime kit on Amazon. I went for the expensive one because the compressor was better, but the less expensive on would work too. Good luck! Here are the links: http://www.amazon.com/Slime-70004-Po...slime+tire+kit http://www.amazon.com/Slime-50001-Po...slime+tire+kit |

Well... at first I was using the euro mini spare from BMW. Its uses a 3.5 inch wide 17 inch wheel. When I had ti use it in the rain... it was one scary drive! I swore to myself I would ditch that "toy" spare wheel ASAP. Thats when I got a full size spare wheel. Its big, but I still have lots of room in my trunk when I travel. And travel I do! I did not want to be stuck in some other country(Italy, Switzerland, etc) for an extra day waiting for a tire repair. And those mini spares can only work for 200 kms. Having a full size spare - is peace of mind for me. 3.5j x17 euro mini spare... it still clears the 135i front brakes... 255 rear tire, 125 section mini spare, 205/55HR17 full size spare...

Interesting to see that one of those aluminium mini spares can clear those 6 piston calipers.
Do you know if a e60 minispare will also clear that caliper? (I have the same calipers on my z4). So a wheel like this (also 17"but different rim): http://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-BMW-...-/391443436419 They are much easier and cheaper to come by. But I agree that a normal tyre (even one with slightly different dimensions) is much better than those noträder.

http://www.amazon.com/Slime-70004-Po...slime+tire+kit But getting it to Sweden adds up to double the price (shipping and VAT). Cannot find this at a good price anywhere in Europe. |
