They do the logical thing, use their car that day. Most people who want a fuel efficient vehicle either commute to work every day, or travel long distances. Euro - European Jap - Japanese As you can see, they are both abbreviations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbreviation Once again you fail at being the politically correct Nazi you were born to be.. You know you already made a mistake, the only problem here is that you think maybe, just maybe you can dig yourself out of it. Quote:

I'm not even going to debate the Jap reference anymore, you're obviously not getting it. Since you're so sure you're right, the next time you see a Japanese person in real life, call them a Jap and see if they feel it's a harmless abbreviation. That said, b-roads, as I understand them, are most like rural roads in the US and Canada (its been several years since I was last in Europe or the UK, so my memory may be a bit hazy). Basically they are roads where you're cruising speed would be 80 km/h or greater and you would have fewer stops light or signs than inside a city. For the most part the Prius would not be able to use its electric motor and any advatage it would have over a diesel would be gone. Really that was not the job a Prius was designed for, they are meant for slow speed, stop and go driving. Think of the Pirus as a wrench and the 520d as a hammer. The test these folks conducted was driving nails and which would make the better tool? Now which would work better at tightening bolts? And which can do both? Again, I hope that when you get out of high school you can go to college and mature a bit before you get out in the real world. |

I also like how you were all for calling me a "hillbilly", but now you want me to be more polite about things. You see Jaiman, I am not calling you a Nazi, this is something you would understand if you had what society calls "Common Sense". The term "Grammar Nazi" can be related to me calling you a "Politically Correct Nazi". It is nothing more than a term used for describing someone like yourself. http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...m=Grammar+Nazi http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...y+Correct+nazi Oh, but I am right. If I were to walk down the street and call someone a "Jap", that would be using the abbreviation in a completely different context. Class B roads are much like any road in a city/town where the speed limit is 45-50mph, thus it is city driving. Most never exceed 50mph, and when they do it is on a very short stretch of straight road. Basically the only use for a Prius is if you live in a tightly compact city, much like any major "downtown" city, where it's impossible to exceed 45mph. In such an area a Moped/Scooter would be more practical, unless of course you have a large load to carry. Most people only go shopping once a week, so a person would end up having to use their non hybrid car for one day out of the week. Basically 300 of those miles are city driving, and 200 of them are highway. Had they done the testing on highway alone, the Prius would have "boasted" nothing more than the mpg's of a regular car. Your analogy doesn't make any sense by the way.. What you are saying is that the BMW is incapable of going under 45mph.. Since we are already using tools to compare cars.. The BMW is more like a flathead screwdriver that can work efficiently on both a philips and slotted screw, even though it was designed to be used on a slotted. (Slotted being the highway, and philips being the city) The Prius is more like a philips head screw driver that only works efficiently on a philips screw. While you can shave down two sides of a philips to use it on a slotted screw, it doesn't work efficiently. You should also try some other form of abashing, because I think it's obvious that saying someone should mature or graduate from High School does not work. -Nathan

I guess I'll leave you with a quote, since you don't want to debate over this anymore.. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. --Aristotle -Nathan
