He means Audi drivers suck!!! Hahahaha!!! There is somewhat of a feeling (not at all mine) that Audi’s are simply Merc or BMW wannabes!!

Just depends what you want out of a car...I think they are both nice.

For me, I am more of a twisty guy, so I am going M3. If I needed a car that I would not track and just commuted in, I would go for the C. Simple as that.

Glad to see a level-headed unbiased view on these two beasts. I love how some people disregard the MB as garbage because it's unlike the M3. both are great cars, but serve different purposes. Because teh c63 doesn't carve up canyon roads like the M3 doesn't make it a bad car. Same with the M3 not being as quick in a straight line.

I like the C63. It's definitely more unique and special than the M3, and you will get a lot more attention. It's going to be hard to differentiate at night a E92M3 from a E92 3 series, that are a dime a dozen in my area. After I got off the freeway last night, heading to my house - 2 miles drive, I saw 3 e92s. Great looking cars, but how many of us would look at an e46 330i and say "wow, that's something unique." AMG and M car will still have that effect many years from now, but bmw made the new M3 too similar to the regular 3.

This was precisely one of the common complaints coming for C55 AMG owners (namely that their cars looked too much like a regular C-Class, though of course it was not). Don’t hear those complains any more, C63 is rather different , unique and aggressive!!!

Though I also think the M3 is also quite different from a regular coupe etc…

I would love a C63....and a Discount Tire store.

I would go through tires with that beast like I was eating peanuts.

+1000

Might be a present to myself in 2009. Assuming gas prices ever stop going up. I think the mpg on this thing is ridiculously low, not sure though.

They did a test with the C63, E92 M3 and RS4 on Top Gear a while back and the E92 was something like 5 seconds faster than the C63 around the same track. C63 was definitely faster than both in a straight line (quite a bit faster).

So in the words of Jeremy Clarkson describing the 3 cars ( from M3 to RS4 to C63)- "sublime, civilized, insane."

When can we "build your own" MB C63? Or am I just not looking at the right part of MB's stupid web site?

As far as I know, you have to go the dealership, and sport package is not yet available!!! Designo package is available but only for special color interior, from black, and that alone is $8K!!

Maybe it's just me but I can't stand the exhaust sound on the C63. It sounds "cool" but I can't imagine hearing that or subjecting my neighbors to that noise every single day. It's like the owner is jumping up and down saying "here, look at me, I'm cool".

I heard one clip of the sound and looked at the "styling" (it seriously looks like body kits) and I didn't need to see more. I'm not knocking body kits but in this price range I wouldn't want my car to look outfitted in five. That car could be $50K fully loaded and I wouldn't be interested.

Seriously, fanboyism aside, the C63 is most likely my favorite benz of this decade. Everytime I see that commercial, I'm instantly attracted to it. Let's face it guys, it doesn't handle as well as the M. But the C63 is mean. It looks mean, it sounds mean, and it goes mean. If you're not tracking, there's no advantage to the M. I cant even imagine the amount of fun i'd have with a car like that. At $62k, it makes me look back at the 335i vs. M3 VALUE thread and think that maybe we all got it wrong.

And i'm the biggest benz hater here.

Yeah, I think the C63 is the only benz I've ever seen that I wish I had. Its everything you said and since I will never track any $50k+ car, I could care less if it's slower at the track. If my officer packet goes through, I'm going to the darkside. Even if this thing chugs gas.

The C63 is no joke. Every review I have read has said that the car is serious, serious fun to drive. When Clarkson called it "an axe murderer with wheels" I knew I had to consider it. I have driven the new M3, and I was really impressed. I have a chance to drive the C63 here soon, I will definitely post my impressions of it when I do. Maybe do a little C63 vs. M3 member comparison lol.

+2, though I'd like to look harder at these cars in a year or so, to read the early adopters' experiences.
