The photography is much better than the "art" and it's not even close.
I have a serious suspicion that he "mailed it in" on this art car with no art on it. Talk about taking the money and running away with it. |

I guess, I am used to the more, um, creative interpitations of the Art cars of the past. This particular example, isn't doing anything for me. I just see a white car with a decal. Jeff Koons' car for example, was awesome!

Ummm....Where doth the art be-ith? Maybe I'm not cultured enough to understand why this looks good. I can't paint to save my life, but surely BMW could have picked someone else, right?? Pick they lady who did the 7 series recently? Pick Mickey Mouse for Christ's sake! I appreciate the fact that this guy considers it art and all, but still
I'd wager the spaghetti i3 is almost better than this! (the only reason I say almost is because, well, i3 vs M6 GTLM) |

It is total shit.
If you did that to your car and showed up at cars and coffee people would point and snicker. And if you are going to put port and starboard running lights on the thing at least put them on the correct side.....

That guy looks mentally challenged and I'm going to assume he is. The car actually makes sense that way, cause it seriously looks like something you would see in the forza auction house.

As a designer I fully understand the artists intentions with this art car and knowing the artists passed works I was not surprised in what I saw when opening the post.
This doesn't mean I like it to the point of owning any of his work as I don't but I do appreciate the artists own vision and what they are trying to portray with that vision. As with everything art, like design in all forms is very selective and whatever you do your open to critics and comments which you either take at face value and it inflates your ego/causes upset or you just rationally try to rationalise these comments as to how that person has seen your work.

My buddy was there and he sent pics. I thought the guy was going to paint it right there in front of him...didn't realize it was finished. Not my cup of tea but I won't bash it.
