Yeah, I have a 2008 Sammy 46" that's still great and a W&D from 2010 that have both been flawless.

i have one of their washers and a dryer. the only washer issue i had was that the shocks gave way and i had to replace.. not expensive and pretty easy. otherwise they've been fine.

Vertical banding happened on a Samsung 60" LED (UN60D6000) I purchased back in 2011. The issue popped after about 2 years of ownership. I was really annoyed because the tv got very little use as I was traveling extensively for work. I was able to use my cable company's "extended service plan" provision to have it replaced.

I suppose I didn't learn my lesson and purchased two Samsung 4K TVs a few years later. They're still running strong after 3+ years of ownership.

bought these from Lowe's a 1.5 year ago and still running strong with no issues knock on wood! also, instead of paying $500 for the pedestals I built my own. sorry to hear the issues you're having

I'm a huge samsung fan boy -

my brother lives in S.Korea and samsung is like a slur over there (of course no thanks to all the trouble their ceo go into over there).

LG is their mother-brand.

I like the concepts of their phones, but every friend that I know that had an LG had terrible experiences (mostly battery life and resource hog issues) -- which is hilarious given battery gate w/ sammy

Prior to moving into our new home this past Christmas, we had a pair of top o The Line Sammy's: Washer and Dryer. They both performed great. The one and only issue I had was the damn dryer got noisy when spinning. But we also had them mounted on pedistals which appear to be a common problem.
Pedestals are so damn useful though: raising the height to reduce back strain from bending over, they hold useful items for storage.

We now have a pair of LG as we sold the Sammy's with the house. So far so good and no noise yet from spinning.

But I am a loyal Samsung customer though. We also have a new Sammy fridge which is fantastic thus far as was our previous model.

Have a washer & a dryer. I purchased them about a 7 months ago, the dryer runs perfectly. The washer, on the other hand, is leaking from the detergent drawer??? What gives??? My wife tells me she puts a little pressure on the drawer and immediately the leakage stops. When I checked out the drawer, it seemed like it closed perfectly yet still leaked two days later... Told my wife to check the manual, maybe we are using the wrong detergent.

PS I should call maintenance but I am too lazy for this.

I've had my Samsung stackable front loaders since 2013 and have only had one issue when the washing machine leaked a little from the door because of a bad seal, which was replaced under warranty.

Besides that, no problems.

Good to hear. The positive responses I'm getting on here is starting to change my mind about getting rid of mine after the extended warranty is over. Maybe this will be the last issue I have.

The only issue with any of their products that I've ever had was this washer and apparently this is the only place on the internet that most people haven't had any problems with theirs. Crazy. I've carried the same Samsung phone for 3 years, every room in my house has a Samsung LED TV in it plus the washer and dryer. I will say their warranty service department is on point. Anytime that I have contacted them, they very professional and very quick about getting the work done. They are subbing their work out from Dish Network but the Dish Network guys love it because it keeps them crawling under houses.

Same here and for years, but this washer man.....it's driving me nuts. In my opnion, you can't buy a better TV.

I'd check your model number against the link I posted. You could get some free work done or new fancy brackets if nothing else. I'd definitely get that drawer issue resolved. Depending on what you have for flooring, this could potentially lead to some costly repairs down the road to your floor/subfloor. I had a leaking toilet in the guest bathroom that I rarely ever go in cost me a fortune in flooring over a dry-rotted tank seal. Basically a $2 seal cost me several hundred dollars because of neglect.

Rather than solving the problem they are simply protecting themselves from further law suits. On the bright side, the recall does extend a 1 year warranty from the date of the recall service being performed.

If you own a Samsung washing machine, definitely look up recall information. I will hang on to mine for another year while it is under warranty and then will be selling mine and going with another brand. In the event that you are shopping for a new washing machine, I DO NOT recommend Samsung. I have had mine for 4 years and have had continual problems with it.

My jackass washing machine at work broke, kept flooding the basement and shutting off every 5 minutes lo and behold it was a top load Samsung, so me and the manager got another one on Craigslist and we rented a home depot pickup and drove 50 miles to pick it up just to have it fall out on the way back. Best 120 I've ever spent......

Man. I feel lucky. I have a pretty basic Maytag washer/dryer set I bought from Best Buy when I bought my home in 2001. These things are still running without issue and have never had a repair done on them.

Now I have a GE double door refrigerator/bottom freezer that has had problems. Why I bring this one up is the GE refrigerator is really a Samsung. When I first got it, the refrigerator was making this occasional clicking/banging noise. Had it checked out and the repair guy couldn't find anything wrong with it. Over time it just stopped doing it. The current problem I have with it is condensation is developing inside the frig dripping down to the bottom of the frig under the vegetable/fruit storage bins. I have to periodically drain the water out or it'll overflow and leak out the doors onto the floor. I talked to a repair guy about this and said there's some mod I have to do to some fitting to fix the problem. I haven't torn apart the inside of the frig to take a look at this yet.

Hate to hear that. Good luck with the new one. I'm starting to realize that basically all new appliances are only built to last a couple of years. The old standard of things being built to last is no more....there is no money in building something that stands the test of time.

This is exactly why I am considering going back to an older model of washer and dryer. They may not be as visually pleasing as what I have now, but I'm not trying to marry it, I just need my laundry done.

This could be the problem i had. It's the shocks. Once they give, the spinning of the drum causes it to be unbalanced since the drum isn't being handled properly by the shocks.

That's what I figured when I saw your post. Did you do the work or was it covered under warranty. From what I gather, once these go and the drum spins freely the washer will fill with water to evenly disperse the load that it thinks is uncentered causing the unbalance. Once it fills with water and drains, it starts the process all over again. I told the guy I spoke to yesterday that the think was acting all crazy and probably needed a new board too just for good measure. If it's under warranty and they are going to fix it for free, might as well get as much replaced as I can.

I shouldn't talk about this but I'll leave names out of it. A friend of mine had some issues with a financing company of very prominent motor company. Had something to do with them jacking up his interest rate and after many heated discussions with them he refused to pay a penny more than the original payment that he had paid for over 2 years. To be dicks, they repo'd his car. In return, because of the fact that he his "handy" with computers, he hi-jacked their twitter account and posted links to customer complaints concerning what they had done every day for almost a month. I can't remember all the details but they eventually found out that it was him, threatened legal with him and he got a little more creative with it. They eventually gave in.
